Instructions
- Gather youth into a circle.
- Ask, "Who knows everyone's name in this group?"
- Say, “It's hard to remember names. But it's important to try our best! Today we will play a name game that will help us to remember everyone's names.”
- Explain the instructions.
- Each participant will select an adjective that begins with the same letter as their first name.
- Each youth will take turns stepping forward and saying their name along with their adjective (e.g., "Hi, I am articulate Adam.").
- The group repeats the name and adjective together of each of the participants who went before them.
- Continue around the circle until everyone has had a turn to step forward with their name and adjective.
- Ask, “Does everyone understand how the game works? Do you think we can repeat everyone's name and adjective by the end of the game?”
- Say, "Ready, let's go!"
- Ask for volunteers to give everyone's name with the correct adjective.
